Gonzalez Calvillo, December 13th, 2023 – We acted as legal counsel to Solvento, as borrower, in the USD$50,000,000.00 “warehouse” facility granted by Lendable – a technology enabled investment and alternatives platform that focuses on global impact alternatives based in the United Kingdom – as lender.
The facility, among others, will be used by Solvento to continue funding its loan portfolio origination in Mexico.
Additionally, as part of the deal, certain existing facilities between Solvento, as borrower, and Marco Financial – a US / Uruguayan full-stack fintech platform providing reliable trade finance solutions to companies -, as lender, were prepaid.
This deal reflects the continued interest of foreign and domestic funds in the “warehouse” facilities sector in Mexico, especially the ones involving Mexican “fintech” companies.
This is an interesting and appealing trend in the Mexican financial market and has provided attractive alternatives to traditional funding.
