Gonzalez Calvillo acts as counsel to Profuturo Afore in Public Offering FIBRA E – “FEXI 21”

Mexico City – August 23rd, 2021 – Gonzalez Calvillo, a leading Mexican law firm, represented Profuturo Afore, S.A. de C.V. (“Profuturo”) as investor and holder, in the issuance of certificados bursátiles fiduciarios de inversión en energía e infraestructura of the new FIBRA E called “FEXI 21”, for a total amount of MXN $22,158,948,607.00.

This transaction is probably the most complex the Mexican securities market has seen in recent years, as it required divesting of 3 CKDs (in which Profuturo has a stake), CERPIs and other investments (as well as a series of mergers, spin-offs and purchase and sale operations of shares), for their subsequent contribution to said FIBRA E.

FEXI 21 is managed by Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP) and comprises, among others, the Kantunil-Cancún, Apaseo-Palmillas, Río Verde-Ciudad Valles, Libramiento Piedad and the Acapulco Interurban tunnel.

Gonzalez Calvillo’s team was led by Partners Bernardo Reyes Retana Krieger and Jaime Cortés Álvarez; and included Associates Francisco Javier Alvarez, Diego Hernandez Abascal, Alonso Mirón and Fernando Blanco.
