Mexico City, October 17th, 2022 – Grupo Crédito Maestro (“Crédito Maestro”), a leader in the payroll financing industry in Mexico, announced the financing of the investment fund AB CarVal for MXN $1,300 million. Gonzalez Calvillo (“GC”) advised Crédito Maestro in this transaction, which in addition to strengthening the solidity of the Mexican firm, is a sign of confidence in the payroll credit sector by foreign entities in Mexican financial companies.
Crédito Maestro is a 100% Mexican company founded in 2002, devoted to granting cash loans to Mexican government workers, pensioners, and retirees, offering them the benefit of payment through payroll deduction. AB CarVal is an established global alternative investment manager focused on distressed and credit-intensive assets and market inefficiencies. Since 1987, has invested USD $138 billion in 5,655 transactions across 82 countries.
This financing is the first part of a series of credits that the Mexican company will receive from the investment fund, with which it consolidates its excellence in administration, operation, quality of service and financial stability for the benefit of all its clients and shareholders.
