Rubén Rivera is a member of the Environment, Agrarian and Social Impact, Life Sciences & Health Care practices areas. He has vast experience advising clients throughout administrative procedures to secure authorizations, concessions, licenses and permits applicable to their operations across environmental and sanitary matters before the three governmental orders in Mexico.

Rubén has vast experience in the design and implementation of legal strategies for the development of new projects, as well as for the regularization of projects in their operation stage before the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) in terms of authorizations for the cross-border movement of hazardous waste, based on the Basel and La Paz Conventions, environmental impact authorizations, among other environmental licenses. Rubén also specializes in administrative procedures associated with assets owned by the nation (applications for concession, modification and extension of the terms and conditions of Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone concessions; as well as disincorporation of National Assets). He has also advised clients during inspection visits and monitoring of administrative procedures followed by the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA).

In addition, Rubén has experience in procedures related to Health Sciences and Sanitary Regulation before the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS); as well as in terms of Consumer Protection before the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
