About

Pamela is an associate at Gonzalez Calvillo, with solid litigation, international law, and human rights experience. She has worked with international organizations, government agencies, international development banks, and civil society in México, the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica.

Over the past years, Pamela has focused on constitutional and international litigation. In Mexico, she has represented clients in amparo proceedings, and before international courts on administrative and criminal issues. Similarly, as a lawyer in the Inter-American Commission on Human and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights she analyzed the potential international State responsibility related to due diligence arising out of harm prevention on environment and communities matters across the mining, energy, and construction sectors in Latin America. Pamela was also a consultant for the Asian Development Bank, where she conducted legal risk assessments in contracts centered on climate change and e-governance between the ADB and Tonga. She also assisted the NYU Center for Human Rights and Global justice conducting research on legal strategies and constitutional tools to prevent and address corruption, and the role of companies’ anti-corruption policies in Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Furthermore, Pamela has advised the Mexican and Canadian governments international public law and comparative law matters related to projects on the criminal justice system and human rights.

Pamela is a strong gender equality and diversity advocate and activist. She is founder “Círculo Feminista, A.C”, a Mexican NGO focused on women empowerment. Under this role, she has advised companies and governments on the implementation of their gender agenda by drafting Protocols to attend gender discrimination and the creation of grievance mechanisms.

She is a member of Abogadas MX and Young ICC. She regularly publishes on “El Plumaje” blog by Animal Político.
