María José has been an Associate since October 2023. Her experience covers multiple practice areas such as intellectual property, franchising, and licensing, corporate, information technology, e-commerce, and personal data protection.

Her practice is focused on corporate assistance and treatment of personal data of both local and foreign clients. María José assists clients in their day-to-day legal and commercial activities related to their operations in Mexico, as well as in the elaboration of policies for the proper treatment of personal data. She has also participated in some asset purchase and sale transactions, stock purchase and sale and mergers.

María José’s work includes the drafting of corporate documents, such as meetings, contracts, responses to digital information requests from various authorities and responses to requests for removal of personal data, drafting of terms and conditions, privacy notices, image use authorizations, agreements, notices of termination and breach of contract and support in the follow-up of matters. Likewise, María José supports clients in complying with their obligations before the National Registry of Foreign Investments and other authorities.
