About

Daniel focuses on Antitrust and Competition, where he has represented both domestic and foreign clients in merger control proceedings, investigations for cartel behavior and abuse of dominance, leniency applications, opinions for cross-participation, as well as trial-like procedures and amparo indirecto actions. Daniel has also advised clients on antitrust compliance and risk prevention programs.

Additionally, Daniel collaborates with the Banking and Financial Regulation team on Fintech issues and authorizations before the National Banking and Securities Commission (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, CNBV), participating in some of the most innovative and disruptive processes nowadays.

Daniel obtained his law degree (J.D. equivalent) from Universidad Iberoamericana. He has a master’s degree in Finance from the Institutional Stock Exchange (Bolsa Institucional de Valores, BIVA) together with the Mexican Association of Investors (Asociación Mexicana de Inversionistas, AMI), studies in International Business Law at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds diplomas in antitrust and competition and fintech.
